We are a progressive, inclusive, holistic general practice with a special interest in women’s and children’s health committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care to women and gender-diverse people across all stages of life. Our clinic is a safe, respectful, and welcoming space for patients and staff. We offer a long appointment / slow medicine model of care. We are an accredited (completed May 2025), GP owned, private billing practice.
As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced, values-aligned Practice Manager to lead our dynamic team and ensure the smooth and efficient running of the clinic’s day-to-day operations.
About the Role
You will be responsible for the leadership and coordination of administrative, operational, and financial aspects of the practice. Reporting directly to the Clinic Director/owner, you will work closely with GPs, nurses, allied health professionals, and administrative staff to maintain a supportive and well-organised working environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the clinic, ensuring a high standard of patient care and staff support
Manage and mentor administrative and support staff
Monitor and manage appointment systems, workflows, and patient experience
Oversee financial processes including billing, budgeting, and reporting
Ensure compliance with Medicare, accreditation, and regulatory requirements
HR including recruitment, development, onboarding, training, and performance reviews
Support implementation of strategic goals and continuous improvement initiatives including compliance and risk management
Uphold the clinic’s values of inclusion, respect, and equity in all aspects of management
About You
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Practice Manager role (or similar leadership position in healthcare)
Strong understanding of Australian primary healthcare systems, including Medicare and RACGP standards, healthcare legislation and privacy requirements
A collaborative, compassionate leadership style with proven ability to lead and support teams in a busy clinical environment
Exceptional organisational, communication (written & verbal), and interpersonal skills
Proficient in practice management software (Best Practice) and general office applications
Experience working in a women’s health or community health setting is highly regarded
