About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Quality Officer to support the Quality Team on afternoon shift in maintaining the company's high standards of food safety, hygiene, and compliance. This hands-on role will see you conducting daily checks across production and packaging, ensuring all quality systems, HACCP, and GMP requirements are met.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Conduct hourly quality and food safety checks across production and packaging lines
  • Monitor specifications, identify deviations, and raise non-conformance reports where required
  • Perform GMP and food safety audits as per compliance schedule
  • Inspect raw materials and packaging upon receipt
  • Manage calibration, labelling, sample testing, and retention programs
  • Educate factory staff on quality and hygiene standards
  • Maintain accurate records and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with WHS policies and identify potential risks

The Successful Candidate

  • 3-5 years' experience in a food manufacturing or production environment
  • Available to work on a 4pm - 12am shift
  • Strong understanding of HACCP, GMP, and quality management systems
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • High attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and quality system software
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across departments
