About the Role

We're seeking an Accounts Officer / Bookkeeper with 1–2 years of accounting experience in Australia to join our growing team. Reporting to the General Manager, you'll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the smooth running of our operations.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing Accounts Receivable: following up on outstanding payments via phone/email and preparing AR reports

Handling Accounts Payable: processing supplier invoices and reconciliations

Assisting with payroll and employee documentation

Completing journal entries and supporting monthly reporting

Using Xero for bookkeeping and financial transactions

Providing administrative support across purchasing, sales documents, and general office duties

About You

1–2 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience in Australia

Strong working knowledge of Xero and MS Office (Excel, Word)

Full bookkeeping proficiency in Xero is required

Solid understanding of AR, AP, payroll, and reconciliations

Comfortable communicating with customers and colleagues, including in challenging situations

Detail-oriented, organised, and proactive with a can-do attitude

Experience in construction, interiors, or joinery (preferred but not essential)
