Kingsgrove Animal Hospital is an independently-owned modern small-animal hospital in the Inner West/South of Sydney, staffed by 4 veterinarians and 4 nurses. Our goal is to provide the best possible veterinary care and service to our patients and their owners. Our hospital is located in the heart of Kingsgrove, with ample parking available on Morgan Street and just 100 meters from Kingsgrove Station. Hurstville Westfield is just a 5-minute drive away.

Your Role:
As the Receptionist, you will be front of house at our hospital and play a critical role in ensuring efficient operations and exceptional customer care. As a member of our staff, you will be responsible for front desk customer service, general administration duties, and patient and client record keeping.

Hours of work - 8.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday; Saturday work available if needed.

Your Primary Duties:
- Front desk customer service, including animal admissions, phone calls, and product sales
- Reassuring clients and answering their questions
- Keeping the reception area clean, organized, and professional
- Managing an efficient diary of booked appointments
- General administrative duties, such as invoicing, cash handling, and mail management
- Patient and client record keeping

Candidates must demonstrate basic familiarity with veterinary practice management software for patient and client record keeping.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Previous experience in the veterinary or medical field
Proven reliability and punctuality
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Passion (or obsession!) for animals and their bond with their parents
Strong organisational and communication skills
A commitment to providing exceptional customer service

A minimum of 2+ years of experience in the veterinary or medical field is required.

Australian work authorisation is required at the time of application.

Saturday shifts are available on an optional basis for candidates who prefer additional hours.
