About the role

Our assessment centre and high-volume training in-take programmes have grown legs and significantly expanded over the last two years.

We're seeking a Recruitment & Onboarding Officer to join our team and support our mission of identifying the next generation of public sector talent utilising leading multi-method assessment centre methodologies.

In this role, you will be the mainstay of our high-volume recruitment for the Public Transport Authority's graduate and Registered Training Organisation (RTO) in-take programs. You'll assist with the end-to-end applicant journey, from posting job ads and coordinating aptitude testing, to supporting assessment centre logistics and processing applicant onboarding.

Your key duties will include:

Recruitment Administration: You will handle the scheduling of recruitment processes, coordinate assessment centre logistics, and maintain recruitment databases.

Applicant Pool Management: You'll be the main point of contact for our applicants, ensuring they have a smooth and positive experience from initial application all the way through to training commencement.

Onboarding Coordination: You will coordinate training in-take allocations, process pre-employment screening and vetting checks, and produce employment offer documentation.

About You!

You're a proactive, solutions oriented, highly detail-oriented professional with a passion for connecting people with great opportunities. We're looking for someone with:

Proven experience in recruitment, HR administrative or mobilisation roles in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Exposure in supporting assessment centres would be an advantage, although not essential.

Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage high volume data with accuracy, multiple tasks and strict deadlines simultaneously.

Proactive problem-solving initiatives, you'll identify potential issues before they arise and have clear solutions in place to keep recruitment efforts on track.

Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build relationships, and work collaboratively.

Exposure to Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other recruitment software.

Why Join Us?

This isn't just a job; it's an opportunity to develop further in a skilled discipline of best practice talent acquisition whilst making a real impact on other people’s career progression. You'll be helping us build a skilled and diverse public service workforce that serves our community. We offer a supportive and inclusive work environment, opportunities for professional growth, and great work-life balance.
