We are a bookkeeping practice in South Brisbane. This is a fully remote role for an Accounts Clerk, casual position with 5-10 hours a week with a possibility to increase hours if the candidate is a quick learner and experienced in Xero and Myob.

Some experience in Xero, MYOB is a must (applicants with just 6 months of experience might also be considered). Knowledge of Australian GST and end of month reconciliations will be highly regarded.

First 8 weeks on probation paid at $32.20 an hour ex Super
Post probation, hourly rate of payment at $35.00/hour ex Super

This could suit a retiree or a parent wanting to work school hours

Your availability of hours/week needs to be somewhat stable and predictable.

Whilst the role is casual to start with, we are looking for a long term employee.

The business is experiencing a rapid growth phase and as such the next team member will need to be prepared to provide the 5-10 hour availability each week

Most tasks do not have deadlines and can be done weekly on the day and time you prefer but initial period of training will need to be during morning hours. Some tasks might have a preferred completion date.

We provide you with a work laptop, monitors, keyboard etc.

Highly preferred - experience with Xero, MYOB and knowledge of Australian GST.

What you'll be doing

Weekly bookkeeping with transactions to process in Xero and Myob

Providing administrative support to the accounting team as required

What we're looking for

At least 1-2 years of experience in an Accounts Clerk or similar role

Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy

Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office suite

Good problem-solving and analytical skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

A proactive and team-oriented approach
