An established leader in process cooling solutions and mechanical services is seeking a Structural Engineer to join their expanding team. With consistent growth and a reputation for delivering innovative, bespoke solutions, this role offers the chance to work on a wide range of projects across power generation, petrochemical, resource and sugar industries throughout Australia and New Zealand.

About the role

You will join a multi-disciplinary engineering team and be based in the newly constructed Yatala head office and fabrication facility. This position blends design with site-based activities, including travel to carry out asset inspections, ensuring variety and career-shaping experiences. From new builds to refurbishment projects, you will be directly involved in delivering tailored engineering solutions that improve asset performance and reliability.

Your scope will include:

• Designing and delivering detailed structural engineering solutions for new and refurbished cooling tower projects
• Conducting site inspections across Australia, providing technical reporting and recommendations
• Supporting multiple projects concurrently and collaborating with project managers, designers and construction teams
• Managing project delivery in line with scope, budget and schedule
• Preparing proposals and contributing to tender submissions
• Coordinating with mechanical and piping design teams for seamless integration
• Ensuring quality and compliance with relevant codes and standards

About you

• Minimum 5 years’ structural engineering experience, ideally within harsh or industrial environments
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) and/or RPEQ, or working towards registration
  Strong knowledge of Australian standards (AS/NZS 1170, 1664, 4100)
• Experience in on-site inspections and reporting on repair or upgrade recommendations
  Knowledge of mechanical and piping design interfaces
• Skilled in project management, prioritisation and working across teams
  Strong communication and reporting skills, with attention to detail
• Experience with Inventor or similar design software desirable
• Must hold Australian residency or valid working rights
• Willingness to travel for national site inspections
