The Role

We are seeking a motivated and talented Structural Engineer to join our client's expanding Brisbane team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to work on exciting high-rise and commercial projects whilst advancing their career in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and contribute to structural analysis and design of multi-storey reinforced concrete and post-tensioned buildings using ETABS

Design floor systems using RAM Concept, including slab design, post-tensioning, punching shear analysis, and serviceability checks

Perform first-principles verification through hand calculations and peer reviews

Prepare detailed drawings, mark-ups, and coordinate with drafting teams using Revit

Develop calculations, design reports, and respond to technical queries

Participate in client and consultant meetings

Drive value engineering initiatives and constructability assessments

Apply Australian building codes and standards (NCC, AS 3600, AS/NZS 1170 series)

Essential Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Master's degree preferred)

Minimum 5-7 years of experience in structural engineering consultancy

Demonstrated experience with ETABS and RAM Concept software

Strong knowledge of Australian Standards (NCC, AS 3600, AS/NZS 1170 series)

Experience with both concrete and steel structures

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Australian working rights (Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work visa)

Highly Desirable

Post-tensioned and reinforced concrete design experience using RAPT

Experience with tall building lateral systems and transfer structures

Design and construct/tender support experience

Knowledge of AS 4100 (Steel Structures)

Professional Engineer registration or eligibility
