We are looking for a Structural Engineer to join our team in Brisbane. This role involves performing detailed structural design and analysis, preparing design documents, and collaborating with architects, contractors, and other multi-disciplinary engineering professionals to ensure the structural integrity and safety of designs.

Responsibilities:

Develop structural designs and perform detailed calculations to standards and specifications

Conduct structural analysis using software and hand calculations to ensure designs meet safety and performance requirements

Analyse the impact of loads, stresses and other factors on structures

Coordinate with project managers, architects and other engineering disciplines to ensure project success

Provide technical advice to construction teams during the construction phase

Conduct site visits as required to ensure construction is in accordance with design specifications and standards

Ensure all designs comply with local, state and federal regulations

Stay up to date on industry standards and building codes

Prepare detailed engineering reports, drawings and documentation

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering/Structural Engineering

Minimum of 6 years experience in structural engineering primarily with building structures

Strong knowledge and application of Australian and International Standards

Experience with structural analysis & modelling software such as Spacegass, RAPT, ETABS, SLB (Inducta), TEDDS & other relevant tools

Proven Project Management experience

International experience a must

Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
