About this position
Are you a detail-driven professional with a passion for financial excellence? The City of Gosnells is looking for a skilled and motivated Financial Accountant to lead compliance across accounting standards, local government financial regulations, and internal policies.
In this pivotal role, you’ll apply your technical expertise to ensure accuracy and integrity in financial reporting, while partnering with stakeholders to enhance processes and drive innovation. What we are looking for
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, liaising with multiple stakeholders internally and externally
A strong analytical ability in order to deliver creative solutions to multi-dimensional problems
Strong leadership skills with the ability to empower, motivate and develop team members
The proven ability to prioritise, monitor and co-ordinate personal workload, with minimal supervision to achieve agreed outcomes with specified timeframes.
Experience in Local Government accounting is not essential but will be highly regarded.
Essential requirements
Current National Police Clearance (less than three months old) Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role but will be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition.
Current driver’s licence.
Qualification from a professional accounting body (CA/CPA)
