We’re currently seeking an experienced and proactive Accountant to join our team and manage all financial aspects of our growing business.

About the Role:

As our Accountant, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial operations, maintaining accurate accounts, and ensuring compliance with industry and tax regulations. You’ll work closely with management to provide financial insights that help guide strategic decisions and improve project efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and payroll.

Process subcontractor invoices, progress claims, progress reports and breakdowns and retention tracking.

Prepare and reconcile monthly financial statements and bank accounts.

Maintain financial records in accordance with accounting standards.

Liaise with project managers, suppliers, and external accountants.

Assist management with financial reporting and performance analysis.

Skills & Experience:

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).

3+ years of accounting experience, ideally within the construction or plumbing industry.

Strong understanding of Australian tax, compliance, and reporting obligations.

Proficiency in accounting software (MYOB experience highly regarded).

Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and time management skills.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small, dynamic team.
