Logistics Coordinator
As an experienced Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operations and exceptional customer service of goods in and out. You’ll work closely with suppliers and transport partners to streamline our supply chain, track key metrics, and ensure compliance with industry standards. The business is currently growing, and your roster may include weekends and afternoon shifts. Adaptability to work across all shifts as necessary is required.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure your team adheres to all safety protocols.
Coordinate daily logistics operations, including inbound and outbound deliveries for both domestic and export markets.
Oversee the logistics coordination of numerous customer contracts, managing delivery and collection activities to contract KPIs.
Implement measures and procedures to drive service performance and continuous improvement of the freight network.
Communicate and escalate all freight-related issues from the point of origin.
Analyse and produce reports for logistics functions, including financial reports and delivery performance.
Process, monitor, and correctly file all Domestic Sales Delivery & Dispatch documents.
Work closely with the Accounts Department to ensure invoices are processed within required timeframes for dispatch.
Assist the Storeperson senior team in developing and implementing sales and logistics procedures.
Manage transfers between warehouses and internal locations.
Operate trucks and walkie stackers as needed. Experience and/or forklift license is desirable, and you will need to be able to use this equipment before probation ends.
Maintain and implement ERP and logistics management systems.
Key Skills and Experience
Proven experience in a dispatch role, with at least two (2) years’ experience in a similar position.
Proficient in using dispatch and logistics software and tools as well as Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong attention to details and organisational skills.

Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address logistics challenges effectively.
Solid understanding of supply chain management, quality control, and inventory processes.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments.

Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Adaptability to work different shifts, including weekends and afternoons, as necessary to meet business needs.
