Position Overview
The Business Development Manager / Sales is responsible for driving growth for ECH Modular Homes by building strong relationships with developers, builders, and industry partners. This role will focus on generating business opportunities, setting up and managing the company’s CRM, and leading marketing initiatives to expand brand presence and sales across Australia.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
Identify and pursue new business opportunities with developers, builders, and wholesalers.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key industry partners.
Conduct sales presentations, prepare proposals, and close contracts.
Achieve sales targets and contribute to revenue growth.
CRM & Sales Systems
Set up and manage a CRM system for effective pipeline management.
Track leads, opportunities, and client communications.
Provide regular reporting to management on pipeline, activity, and outcomes.
Marketing & Brand Growth
Develop and execute marketing strategies to generate leads.
Manage digital campaigns, social media, and online presence.
Represent ECH at trade shows, expos, and industry networking events.
Assist in preparing sales brochures, presentations, and promotional material.
Collaboration & Strategy
Work closely with Directors to align sales strategy with company goals.
Provide market insights to guide product development and positioning.
Support tender submissions and large project negotiations.
Skills & Attributes
Proven track record in business development or sales (building/construction industry highly regarded).
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to influence key decision-makers.
High level of initiative, self-motivation, and accountability.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Competent in CRM and sales systems (experience setting up from scratch preferred).
Marketing knowledge (digital and traditional) is advantageous.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 3 years’ experience in sales or business development.
Experience in construction, modular housing, or building products preferred.
CRM implementation and management experience required.
Marketing or business-related qualifications desirable.
