Our clients span industries including: Tradies, Construction, Heavy Transport, Earthmoving, Agricultural, Manufacturing, Medical, Forestry, and much more.
At the helm, our Managing Director has won “Asset Finance Broker of the Year” in 2022, 2023, and 2025. With that level of industry respect and credibility behind us, we’re now looking for a Business Development Manager with serious drive and sales firepower to help us grow even faster, win more clients, and expand our referral partner networks.
The Role
Based in the Sydney CBD, this is a pure Business Development & Relationship Manager position. You’ll be the face of the Yakka brand — building powerful referral partner networks, opening new doors, and representing us at industry, networking, and social events.
Backed by a highly awarded, nationally respected brokerage, you’ll have instant credibility in the market and a strong team behind you to deliver on every opportunity you bring in.

Your mission: to continually create new channels for business, expand our referral networks, and ensure Yakka Finance remains the go-to name in asset finance.
We finance so much equipment for a variety of businesses which gives you a big market of opportunity:
Vehicles – Company Cars, Luxury Vehicles, Utes, Vans
Earthmoving Equipment – Excavators, Dozers, Graders, Skid Steers, Positracks etc
Transport – Trucks & Trailers
Cranes – Mobile, Tower, Telehandlers
Drilling – Drill Rigs
Mining Equipment – Dump Trucks, Scrapers etc
Material Handling – Forklifts, Access, Crushing, Screening, Conveyors
Tertiary Equipment – Generators, welders, surveying equipment, GPS equipment etc
Manufacturing – CNC Machines, Food Processing etc

Role responsibilities
As our Business Development & Relationship Manager, you’ll be the driver of growth — creating new opportunities, building powerful partnerships, and positioning Yakka Finance as the first choice for asset finance across Australia.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Generating new business opportunities by driving quality leads into the broking team for conversion
Building strong referral networks with accountancy firms, mortgage brokers, and other professional partners to expand their asset finance offering with our expertise
Establishing and maintaining dealer relationships across trucks, equipment, machinery, and car dealerships, ensuring their sales teams rely on Yakka for finance solutions
Engaging directly with business owners across diverse industries to become their trusted partner for all equipment finance needs
Representing the brand with impact at client lunches, industry events, trade shows, and social functions (golf days, boat events, sporting occasions, etc.)
Contributing ideas and strategies to improve growth, technology, and processes within the business as we scale
Positioning yourself as a go-to leader in asset finance by building credibility, influence, and visibility across industries
Attending and networking at trade events nationwide, continually expanding your reach and relationships
About you
