Are you detail-oriented and adaptable, with a love for working with numbers?
Do you want to be part of a supportive team where your contribution matters, and your growth is encouraged?
We’re expanding our finance team and looking for an Assistant Finance Officer who’s organised, detail-oriented, and ready to play a key role in supporting our mission: providing safe, secure, and sustainable housing for people who need it most.
About Us
At BRIC Housing, we do more than provide homes, we help people build brighter futures. As a not-for-profit community housing organisation, we’re dedicated to creating secure, affordable housing and supportive communities where individuals and families can thrive.
We currently manage over 940 tenancies across Brisbane’s inner and outer north, Redcliffe, and Caboolture, and we’re continuing to grow to meet community need.
What makes us different is that we lead with our values, for our tenants and for each other. We live out respect, integrity, diversity, excellence, and safety & wellbeing in the way we work. These values guide how we support tenants and how we operate as a team: practical, collaborative, and focused on achieving the best outcomes for our community.
When you join Bric, you’re not just stepping into a role, you’re becoming part of a purpose-driven organisation where your contribution is valued, your growth is encouraged, and the work you do every day makes a genuine difference.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you’ll play an important part in keeping our finance function running smoothly and supporting colleagues across the organisation. By ensuring our financial processes are accurate and efficient, you’ll help us deliver safe and sustainable housing for our tenants.
Key responsibilities include:
Processing accounts payable and receivable, including tenant recharges.
Managing daily banking
Actioning services requests from other teams.
Assisting the Senior Finance Officer with projects and process improvements.
We’re looking for someone who is accurate and reliable but also open to new ideas, someone who can get the details right while contributing to improvements that make our services even stronger.
Why Join BRIC
At Bric, we don’t just offer jobs; we offer purpose-driven careers where your work truly matters.
Here’s what you can look forward to:
