FINANCE ASSISTANT

An opportunity exists for a full-time assistant to work in the Finance Department, who is committed to personal and professional growth and development within a company that has been servicing the Cairns community for over 75 years.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is predominately an accounts payable position though covers a variety of duties dealing with all aspects of bookkeeping. To be successful in this role the applicant will possess the following skills and attributes:

· Experience within a bookkeeping position

· Professional presentation and conduct

· Proficient in Microsoft Office

· Reckon or similar software experience highly desirable

· Excellent written and communication skills

· Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail

· A proactive attitude

· Australian work rights essential (permanent residency or citizenship required)

Duties will include, though not be limited to:

· Daily receipting and bank reconciliations of trust and general accounts

· Accounts payable – data entry and payment of supplier invoices and credit cards

· Accounts receivable – generate invoices as required

· Assisting in Payroll processing – experience advantageous though not essential

· Trust settlement disbursements – property sales and auctions

· General filing, archiving and administration duties as required
