Since 1978 Beehive Vinyl Products Pty Ltd has grown into a solid, reputable local fabricator of Vinyl, Canvas and Shadecloth products for consumer and commercial applications as well as providing Motor and Marine trimming products and services in Townsville.

With growing work commitments, Beehive Vinyl Products has a vacancy for a Trades Assistant working alongside Motor & Marine Trimmers & Industrial textile tradespeople to assist tradesmen with manufacturing of canvas, vinyl & shade cloth products in addition to Motor & Marine trimming jobs. Motor & Marine Trimming which includes boat canopies, boat covers, tonneau covers, side curtains & other vehicle & marine upholstery. Also can be assisting in tool bag manufacturing section.

Workshop Assistant work will involve assisting with measuring, cutting, counting, sorting, welding of viny, canvas, shadecloth & other textiles as well as other general cleaning & workshop duties.

Require someone who is available 5 days a week Monday to Friday & must have current manual drivers licence.

Candidates with any form of Australian work rights are eligible to apply for this position.

Must be conscientious, punctual, have a good eye for detail, be energetic, have basic numeracy skills including being able to read a tape measure, and be able to work in a team environment. Position available is casual position however the opportunity may arise for offer of full-time employment in the future with the possibility of adult apprenticeship being offered to . Must be fit for work as some lifting involved & be able to work at heights.
