Workfast is looking for a hands-on and reliable Trade Assistant to work on factory based machinery, assisting of organisation of stick and to assist fitters and Boilermakers for our client who are a large manufacturing business based in Eagle Farm, QLD.

Location: Eagle Farm, QLD
Pay Rate: $37.00 - $37.50 per hour + Overtime + Super
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
Start Date: ASAP

This is a long-established and highly respected service and maintenance provider to the fastening industries and known for flexibility and quality workmanship.This is a practical, shop floor-based role offering consistent full-time hours and the potential to transition into a permanent position. Full on-the-job training will be provided.

What You’ll Be Doing

Assisting trades such as Boilermakers and Maintenance Fitters

Using power tools such has rattle guns, drop saws and band saws.

Assisting with bearing seal breakdown and bearing buffing

General housekeeping and cleaning duties

Using hand, air, and power tools

Maintaining a safe and organised workshop environment

About You

Experience working in a manufacturing or workshop environment

Have a valid Forklift ticket (bonus)

Experience in basic welding

Competency with hand, air, and power tools

Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks

Safety-conscious and reliable

Strong team player with good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

What You Get

$37.00 - $37.50 per hour + super + overtime
