As our Administration Officer you will provide high level professional and confidential reception and administrative support to all staff within our Mental Health Centre to facilitate wonderful friendly, welcoming, and effective care to our clients. You’ll be joining a fresh, newly formed team, in a professional and positive environment.
On a day-to-day basis you will provide administrative support to facilitate the delivery of care to our clients. This role will serve as the first point of contact for individuals coming into our service and will build a positive rapport with a wide range of clients as well as their family and friends.
Reporting to the Program Services Manager, you will:
- Exercise confidentiality in handling people's engagement and interactions with the service.
- Offer information to individuals, their friends, and families in a confidential and sensitive manner.
- Manage online and manual filing systems, ensuring operation, maintenance, and security.
- Handle reception duties, including answering phones, booking appointments, and managing client records.
- Assist in maintaining and improving administrative processes, coordinate mail, manage supplies, and contribute to the overall cleanliness and organisation of the centre.

About you:
You are an experienced professional with considerable knowledge in health service operations and delivery; comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with the following attributes:
- Formal qualifications (certificate or diploma level) in a relevant discipline or demonstrated experience in an administrative role within a health setting that includes general practice and/or private allied health practice.
- Demonstrated experience maintaining practice procedures for a general practice and/or private allied health practice setting.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a diverse range of people.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple and competing work tasks and deliver to agreed deadlines.

- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or ability to hold one.
- Undergo a current and satisfactory Police Check.
- Current drivers licence.
