About the role

Join the dynamic team at Coastal Demolitions' as an Accounts / Payroll professional. In this full-time role based in Burleigh Heads, QLD, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's payroll and accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee payments and financial reporting.

What you'll be doing

Manage the end-to-end payroll process, including processing timesheets, calculating wages, and ensuring compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations

Maintain accurate employee records and address any payroll-related queries or issues

Prepare and reconcile monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports

Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable tasks, such as invoicing, reconciliations, and processing payments

Collaborate with the management team to implement and maintain robust financial controls and procedures

Provide administrative support to the broader business as needed

What we're looking for

Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or a related field

Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar payroll or accounting role, preferably within the construction or demolition industry

Proficient in using accounting software, such as MYOB or Xero, and payroll systems

Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders

Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a solutions-oriented mindset

Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines
