Due to substantial company growth, we are seeking a Payroll and Billing Expert with proven experience in labour hire and traffic control payroll and billing to join our growing team. This role is crucial to ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across our payroll and billing processes.

About the Role
You will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll for our traffic controllers and labour hire staff, as well as handling client billing for all bookings. This includes ensuring award compliance, calculating allowances, and managing timesheets. You will also play a key role in streamlining payroll systems and supporting the finance team with reporting, audits and basic reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities
Process end-to-end payroll for labour hire and traffic control employees
Ensure compliance with industry awards, EBAs, and Fair Work requirements
Accurately calculate penalty rates, allowances, superannuation, and leave entitlements
Manage client billing and reconcile payroll with invoicing
Liaise with site managers and employees to resolve payroll queries
Support finance team with reconciliations, reporting, and audits
Assist in implementing and improving payroll systems and processes
Who We’re Looking For
In-depth knowledge of Building and Construction General On-site Award [MA000020] and traffic control allowances
Strong experience in labour hire payroll and ideally traffic control payroll
Confident in handling billing and payroll alignment
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication skills to liaise with employees, management, and clients
Experience with payroll software (e.g. Traffio, Xero, MYOB, or similar)
Ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities
