About the Role

WorkPac is seeking a Payroll Officer to join our client’s team in Queensland. This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery, supporting weekly site operations. You’ll play a key role in time close, audits, data entry, and payroll validation.

Key Responsibilities

Process payroll accurately and on time for site-based employees

Complete payroll data entry, validation, and compliance checks

Conduct audits and resolve discrepancies promptly

Support time close and ensure deadlines are consistently met

Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with policies

Skills & Experience

Previous experience in payroll (site-based mining payroll highly regarded)

Strong attention to detail and accuracy with data

Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines

Experience in payroll systems and MS Office Suite

Strong communication and problem-solving skills
