Practice Manager – Specialist Medical Practice

Location: Liverpool, Sydney (with periodic travel to Norwest & Frenchs Forest)

We are seeking a highly organised and professional Practice Manager to join our welcoming specialist medical practice. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys engaging with patients, and takes pride in ensuring the smooth operation of a busy practice.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Patient Management: Booking and coordinating patient appointments, managing the appointment schedule, and providing exceptional patient service.
• Communication: Answering telephone enquiries, responding to patient emails, and liaising with relevant stakeholders in a professional manner.
• Financial Administration: Processing payments and invoices, following up with Medicare and Private Health funds regarding unpaid claims, and entering information into Xero.
• Practice Operations: Collaborating with the practice accountant when required, maintaining an organised practice environment, and supporting the doctor to ensure efficient clinic operations.

The position is Monday to Thursday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm with a one-hour lunch break (preferably 12:00–1:00 pm). Travel to consult in Frenchs Forest and Norwest required once a month.

About You

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
• A professional and approachable manner, with excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational and time-management abilities, particularly in a busy practice environment
• Competence in computer systems, with experience using Genie medical practice software and Xero
• The ability to work independently, exercise initiative, and solve problems effectively

Previous experience in a medical practice is required.
