We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Medical Receptionist to join our General Practice in Stockton

Applicants must be Australian permanent residents.

This position involves the day-to-day administration of a General Practice. You will be part of a friendly team comprising of 6 General Practitioners, 3 Registered Nurses, A Practice Manager and 3 front desk reception staff. As well as onsite Allied Health such as Podiatry, Audiology, Dietitian and Exercise Physiology.

Your duties will include, but will not be limited to:

Supporting the Practice Manager with day-to-day administration of the practice

Scheduling patient consultations

Front desk reception and management of appointments

Ensuring medical records are managed confidentially and efficiently

Patient invoicing and receipting

Data collection and maintenance of patient database

Handle incoming and outgoing mail

Scanning and linking patient correspondence, test results etc (paperless practice)

Management of medical software (MedicalDirector/Pracsoft)

Successful candidates will meet the following criteria:

Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist in a Healthcare practice. (desirable)

Computer literacy; experience with Medical software (desirable)

Proven organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks

Effective time management skills

Understanding of medical terminology (desirable)

Intermediate knowledge of MS Word and Excel

Effective written and verbal communication, interpersonal and liaison skills with a demonstrated commitment to quality customer service

Ability to work unsupervised within a small team or independently to achieve results

High attention to detail

High level of integrity and confidentiality

Excellent English and grammar

Ability to multi-task and think pro-actively
