About the Role
We are seeking a proven Business Development Manager with a natural hunter mentality to take ownership of a key sales territory. This is a role for someone who thrives on building relationships, creating new opportunities, and being the face of premium products in front of Australia’s top architects, designers, developers, and builders.
You’ll be responsible for driving growth across timber, sheet materials, and cladding categories, working with a portfolio of high-end projects that demand both technical knowledge and design flair. The role offers a flexible and balanced structure — part on the road, part in the office, and part work-from-home — giving you the freedom to tailor your day for maximum impact.
Key Responsibilities
Develop new business opportunities with architects, designers, developers, and builders.
Leverage your established network to expand product reach across commercial and residential projects.
Present premium timber, sheet material, and cladding solutions with both technical and design expertise.
Deliver specifications and project wins by working closely with the A&D community.
Stay across compliance requirements including the National Construction Code, Australian Standards, and other regulatory frameworks.
Collaborate with internal technical, marketing, and operations teams to deliver client solutions.
Meet and exceed revenue targets through strategic business development and project specification wins.
About You
You’re not just a salesperson — you’re a trusted advisor to the design and construction industry. You combine a hunter’s drive with a consultative, solutions-driven mindset, backed by strong technical and design knowledge.
Minimum 2 years’ on-the-road business development experience in architectural or construction products.
Strong existing network of architects, designers, developers, and builders.
Background in architecture, design, construction, or a related technical field (education or hands-on).
Sound knowledge of the National Construction Code, Australian Standards, and compliance frameworks.
Proven success in meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Self-driven, resilient, and motivated to grow a market presence with premium products.
