About the role
The role is central to ensuring the responsible use, allocation and protection of Tasmania’s freshwater systems. The Team Leader will:
- Lead and manage the Water Operations and Compliance team and its program of works.
- Oversee compliance activities related to water allocation, water use, dam operations and other water management activities in the State.
- Foster a safe, consultative, and high performing team culture.
- Build strong relationships across government, industry and community sectors.
Our ideal candidate has
- Expertise in the leadership of compliance activities in water management.
- Qualifications in water, agriculture or water resource management or civil engineering.
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation and contemporary practices.
- A commitment to protecting Tasmania’s environment and supporting sustainable water use.
