Quality & Compliance Systems Specialist – ISO 20252 & Privacy Lead

Ensure Voconiq’s global projects meet the highest standards of quality and privacy.

Voconiq is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality & Compliance Systems Specialist to build and maintain the systems and processes that keep our research projects world-class and audit-ready.

This role will work across the business to document how we operate, align our practices with ISO 20252:2019 and embed robust GDPR, Australian and global privacy compliance. You’ll translate complex requirements into practical, easy-to-use tools that our project managers can confidently apply across dozens of projects worldwide.

This is a rare opportunity to design a global quality framework for a fast-growing company that gives communities a stronger voice in decisions affecting them.

What you’ll be working on:

Systems & Process Mapping: Analyse current business and project workflows to understand how Voconiq delivers Local Voices projects from design through to reporting.

ISO 20252 Alignment: Document and refine processes to meet market and social research quality standards, including governance, sampling, data handling and reporting.

Privacy & Data Protection: Integrate GDPR and Australian Privacy Act obligations, such as consent, storage, and data-subject rights into every stage of project delivery.

Practical Tools: Develop checklists, templates, and resources that help project managers apply quality and privacy requirements consistently across countries and projects.

Continuous Improvement: Identify and lead process enhancements, monitor compliance, and prepare the business for audits and certifications.

Training & Change Management: Work with team leads to embed new processes and build a culture of quality and privacy by design.

Future readiness: Anticipate how our quality and privacy processes will need to evolve as Voconiq’s data platform and digital tools expand, ensuring that today’s frameworks are adaptable for a platform-enabled future.

Key responsibilities

Conduct end-to-end reviews of current systems and processes, creating clear, accessible documentation.

Identify gaps and risks relative to ISO 20252, GDPR, Australian Privacy Act and global legislative requirements.

Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures, QA checklists, risk registers, and templates.

Provide guidance and training to project managers and teams to ensure consistent global application.

Coordinate internal audits and support external certification as required.

Monitor compliance, recommend improvements, and report on system performance to senior leadership - while planning for how these processes will scale and adapt in a platform-enabled future.

What you need to succeed

Demonstrated experience implementing and maintaining ISO 20252:2019 (or equivalent quality management standards in social/market research or related fields).

Strong knowledge of GDPR and Australian Privacy Act principles and their application to data handling, consent, and retention.

Proven ability to turn regulatory requirements into practical, user-friendly systems and tools.

Excellent process-mapping and documentation skills, with a keen eye for detail and risk management.

Strong facilitation and communication skills to engage diverse teams and support change.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a global, fast-paced environment.

Location

This role is location flexible. While we have a strong preference for candidates based in Brisbane (Bowen Hills) or Melbourne (CBD), where our existing teams and offices can offer in-person collaboration, we’re also open to the right candidate working fully remotely.
