Are you ready for a sea change? The Lodge Wadjemup is seeking a proactive and hands-on Assistant Property Operations Manager to join our close-knit team on beautiful Rottnest Island (Wadjemup). About the Role:

In this hands-on support role, where you'll assist the Property Operations Manager with the smooth running of our property operations, including maintenance, logistics, safety compliance, and guest support. You'll help ensure our facilities are maintained to the highest standards, contributing to an unforgettable experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with routine and reactive maintenance tasks across the property and staff accommodation

Support the coordination of contractors, logistics, and supply deliveries

Ensure all compliance requirements are met at all times

Coordinating schedule tasks according to the requirements set out in our maintenance plan

Keep Safety Management System documents and policies up to date

Follow up on outstanding hazard and incident reports logged in Safety Champion

Support workplace health and safety compliance

Provide hands-on operational support to the wider resort team

Assist the Front Office team with guest luggage transfers as required

Respond to guest queries or concerns related to property operations

Work closely with the Maintenance Team to help maintain a clean, safe, and functional environment

What We’re Looking For:

Previous experience in property maintenance, hotel operations, or a similar role

Experience using online safety management systems

Tech-savvy – we use technology across all areas of the business

A practical, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Basic understanding of WHS practices

Physically fit and capable of manual work, both indoors and outdoors

Current driver’s licence and White Card (preferred)

Ability to live on Rottnest Island full-time (essential)
