The Opportunity

This role presents an exceptional opportunity for individuals eager to expand their knowledge and broaden their perspective in the property sector. As Assistant Property Services Manager, you will not only be involved in the day-to-day coordination of property management but also gain invaluable experience in providing strategic oversight on matters such as land disposal, acquisitions, and redevelopment projects. In addition, you will develop a deep understanding of heritage buildings and crown land management, navigating the complexities and unique considerations these assets present. About You

With extensive expertise in managing building projects and residential properties, you excel at guiding teams and adapting to diverse working styles and expectations. Your strong organisational abilities ensure deadlines are consistently met, and your attention to detail is evident in the preparation of reports, correspondence, and other documentation.

You possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, allowing you to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve optimal results. Demonstrating initiative in continuous learning, you efficiently prioritise workloads and manage time and resources to support successful project outcomes.

Experience in property valuations or the management of land acquisitions, disposals, and capital works projects is considered advantageous.

Role Overview

In the capacity of Assistant Property Services Manager, you will be integral to assisting the Diocesan Property Services Manager with the oversight of maintenance and administration of Diocesan properties. Your contribution will support the preservation of these assets, ensure regulatory compliance, and uphold the organisation’s mission.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting the Diocesan Property Services Manager with budgeting and financial planning for property maintenance, including oversight of capital projects.

Assist with the management and maintenance of Diocesan properties.

Oversee internal database management systems for the coordination of its non-commercial building maintenance works

Coordinate property inspections and oversee repair and renovation projects.

Assist the Diocesan Property Services Manager with preparing recommendations for internal and external approvals.

Liaise with government departments and local authorities on property-related matters.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and property standards.

Manage vendor relationships and contracts.
