Goldsmith Street Surgery has been a cornerstone of the Goulburn community for over 30 years. We are a fully accredited, mixed-billing GP clinic with a strong reputation for professional, patient-focused care and a collaborative team culture.
We’re now seeking an experienced and motivated Practice Manager to lead day-to-day operations, support staff, and contribute to the continued growth and excellence of our practice.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll work closely with the Business Owner/Associate and be supported by external IT and bookkeeping services. Your focus will be on team management, patient experience, and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities include:

Oversee the daily running of the clinic to ensure seamless service delivery

Lead and support a team of GPs, nurses, and reception staff

Manage rosters, staff leave, recruitment, onboarding, and performance reviews

Ensure accurate and compliant billing (Medicare, WorkCover, etc.)

Coordinate with bookkeepers on payroll, budgeting, and reporting

Maintain HR systems and promote a positive, safe, and supportive workplace

Support GP registrar placements and RACGP/ACRRM requirements

Lead the triennial practice accreditation process and policy reviews

Chair regular team meetings and maintain strong internal communication

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a confident, organised leader who thrives in a people-focused role. Healthcare experience is preferred, but we’re open to strong operational leaders from other sectors too.
To succeed in this role, you’ll have:

Previous management experience in general practice or healthcare (strongly preferred)

Excellent leadership and communication skills

A solutions-focused mindset and ability to multitask under pressure

Sound understanding of Medicare and general practice billing

Experience with accreditation and compliance processes (desirable)

Qualifications in Practice Management or Health Admin (desirable)
