Practice Manager – GP Clinic

We are a medium-sized general practice with a dedicated team of long-term staff seeking an experienced and motivated Practice Manager to take on a full-time leadership role.

About the Role

You will be responsible for:

Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the practice

Leading and supporting our stable team of administration and clinical support staff

Ensuring compliance with RACGP Standards, Medicare, privacy, and WHS requirements

Managing financial operations including billing, payroll, and budgets

Driving continuous improvement and maintaining high standards of patient care

Supporting GPs, nurses, and allied health professionals in delivering quality services

About You

You are a proactive and approachable leader who thrives in a supportive, patient-focused environment.

Essential:

Proven experience in practice management (preferably in medical practices)

Strong leadership and communication skills

Financial management and HR experience

Desirable:

Qualifications in Business, Health Administration, or Practice Management

Membership with AAPM

Knowledge of Medicare billing and RACGP accreditation standards

Proficiency with practice management software (e.g., Best Practice, MedicalDirector, PracSoft)
