About the role

Premier Accounting Partners is a fast-growing accounting firm located in Sydney CBD. We provide a wide range of personalised, high-quality accounting services to clients across diverse industries, with a strong focus on supporting law firms in managing their complex financial operations. Our client base also includes businesses in the real estate and media sectors.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team. This role is ideal for a recent accounting graduate or an individual with 1–2 years of relevant experience seeking to advance their career in a professional services environment.

While the role is offered as full-time, part-time arrangements can be considered and discussed during the interview process.

What you'll be doing

Carry out day-to-day bookkeeping and data entry across multiple systems, including Xero (essential), Actionstep, and other internal ERP platforms.

Assist with the preparation of financial reports and reconciliations on a daily and monthly basis.

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing, receipts, and payments.

Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate financial records and databases.

Assist with BAS/IAS preparation and lodgement under supervision.

Handle a high volume of emails and phone calls, liaising with clients (particularly law firms) and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth financial processes.

What we're looking for

A valid Australian work permit/work rights is required.

Strong accounting and taxation knowledge. Completion of a taxation course is preferred.

1-2 years of experience in a similar accounts or finance role. Experience requirements are flexible for strong graduates with relevant qualifications.

Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).

Mandarin or Cantonese language skills are highly regarded.

Proficiency in using Xero software and MS Office suite

A proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving.

Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
