Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Manage customer accounts, including debtor collections, reconciliations, and handling overdue payments.
Attend to customer and supplier queries promptly, escalating issues where required.
Process credit applications, invoices, purchase orders, payments, and credits in line with company policy.
Accurately match creditor invoices to delivery dockets and reconcile supplier statements.
Monitor supplier pricing and ensure accuracy of invoices received.
Prepare and collate payments for processing, ensuring compliance with company procedures.
Conduct regular bank account, credit card, and cash reconciliations.
Produce and maintain documentation such as letters, emails, and reports, liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
Assist with weekly payroll processing when required.
Provide general administrative and ad-hoc support to the finance team.
Key Skills and Experience Required
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related discipline (mandatory).
At least 2–3 years’ experience in an accounts officer or similar role within a fast-paced business environment.
Strong knowledge of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and reconciliations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); ERP/accounting system experience desirable (MYOB highly regarded).
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in processing.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the initiative to resolve discrepancies.
Team player who is adaptable and willing to support across multiple tasks.
