THE OPPORTUNITY

Our client is seeking multiple Maintenance Managers for sites across Melbourne for their high end purpose built Build-to-Rent residential properties. The role will be responsible for the overall facilities and maintenance of the property including all general repairs of the building and apartments, including, plumbing, electrical, plant, and machinery, light bulb changes, painting, plastering, and carpentry. In some cases, this role may be required to work extra hours or be on call for modification requests and emergency call outs.
Key Responsibilities

• Establish systems and procedures to facilitate preventative maintenance programs including selection of suppliers and support system, meeting budget and standard requirements as set by management
• Control effectively and profitably the overall operation of the departments with the General Manager
• Record, report and assist the General Manager to manage all building defects
• Obtain written quotes for owners to approve prior to authorising work, where required
• Work with the General Manager to ensure tenants are given reasonable notice as required under the
• Residential Tenancies Act for access for repairs and maintenance
• Assist other staff and residents with training in preventative maintenance and any health and safety issues
• Be responsible for the upkeep of the fire stairwells, storerooms, and rubbish removal
• Maintain terraces and gardens to present a clean and attractive appearance at all times
• Be responsible for all general maintenance repairs in building

ABOUT YOU

• You will be an experienced maintenance professional with ideally 2 years worth of management experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• High level of problem solving and decision-making ability.
• Detail orientated and results focused who strives to exceed targets and performance KPI's.
• Effective time management and multitasking skills.
• A valid state drivers license and a valid national police check.
• A trade qualification as a Mechanical Engineer, Electrician, or Plumber would be ideal
