About the role

On offer is a full time Workshop Manager position at our associated company, Portland Bus Lines. The Workshop Manager role is responsible for carrying out maintenance and repair to the bus and coach fleet of 20 vehicles to a level that ensures bus safety and roadworthiness. The role is based at the Portland depot, reporting to the Fleet Manager.

Furthermore, the Workshop Manager role includes:

Supervision of workshop staff, providing guidance and support under the direction of the Fleet Maintenance Manager

Assessing and assignment of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks

Managing depot vehicle files

Managing the Maintenance Management System in accordance with the Operator accreditation

Maintaining vehicle monitoring and reporting systems as required by relevant authorities

Work in accordance with safe working procedures and instructions and comply with the organisation's Management Information System.

Handle invoicing and job card matching

Rotational weekend overtime may be required

The successful candidate requires:

Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology

Heavy Rigid licence or the ability to obtain

Workshop experience (Heavy diesel an asset)

Working with Children Check (VIC) (or the ability to obtain)

Customer centric attitude
