About the role
Ball Australia is a well-established nursery in Skye, supplying a variety of crops to customers Australia wide. The newly created Regional Sales Support role plays a central role in driving customer satisfaction and supporting commercial objectives. The successful applicant will work closely with the Regional Manager ensuring seamless order management and proactive customer engagement. This is an end-to end role where you will take full ownership of the entire order lifecycle from initiation through to dispatch.
Responsibilities of the role
· Provide support to the Regional Manager in end-to end sales order management
· Ensure orders are processed accurately and in a timely manner, proactively resolving any issues that may arise
· Notify customers and Regional Manager of any product shortages; suggest substitutes or alternatives to maximise order fulfilment
· Upsell from surplus list
· Conduct regular walkthroughs of the crops to assess health and progress of products and report results to the Regional Manager
· Maintain and update database with accurate data
· Intermediate level Excel and CRM skills are required for effective database management.
· Identify and address challenges in the sales process suggesting and implementing innovative sales techniques
· Operate under the direction of the Regional Manager, maintaining alignment with team goals
· Visit customers when required by the Regional Manager
Skills and experience
· Excellent attention to detail
· Clear and concise communication skills
· Critical thinker, able to resolve customer concerns effectively
· Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
· Friendly and professional demeanour, showing patience and empathy
· Track record of managing high volume complex customer enquiries
· Knowledge of plants and horticulture is advantageous
· Minimum 1-2 years of sales or customer service experience is required.
