The Role

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to oversee all procurement activities for our spray booth operations.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this pivotal role ensures the seamless flow of materials and services to support our manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will play a key role in optimising supply chain efficiency, managing costs, and maintaining strong supplier relationships to drive operational excellence. A person with flexibility and knowledge in purchase software systems would be valued to support and help us grow are proprietary developed ERP system.

Key Responsibilities

Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and develop strategic relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable, cost-effective sourcing of raw materials, components, and services.

Monthly Reconciliation of Invoices to Orders: Conduct thorough reviews and reconciliations of supplier invoices against purchase orders, resolving discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records and compliance.

Purchase Management: Lead the end-to-end procurement process, including requisition approval, negotiation of contracts, and placement of orders to meet business needs while adhering to budgetary constraints.

Stock Order Management: Oversee inventory levels, forecast demand, and manage stock orders to prevent shortages or overstocking, ensuring optimal availability for production schedules.

Factory and Job Purchasing for Manufacturing: Coordinate purchasing requirements for factory operations and specific job projects, sourcing specialised materials and equipment to support timely and efficient manufacturing outputs.

What We're Looking For

Proven experience (5+ years) in purchasing or procurement management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in industrial equipment or engineering sectors.

Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, negotiation techniques, and inventory management systems (e.g., ERP software or similar).

Excellent analytical skills for invoice reconciliation and financial reporting, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.

A relevant qualification in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is highly desirable.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaborative relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
