What you’ll be doing (other than saving us money and improving our service levels):

Analysing stock levels & various reports to maintain the right stock balance.

End to end purchasing inc stock on hand, customer and project orders

Liaising with local and international vendors / suppliers to ensure DIFOT met

Negotiating the best rates without compromising service

Management of customs clearance, waybills, landed cost amortisation & currency conversions

Collaborating with Purchasing, Sales and Warehouse.

Facilitating manufacturing requests & customisation

Supporting our BDM's (product & technical advice / order requests)

Assisting with customer enquiries (phone, email, even fax if you must).

Supplier price management & ERP updates

Partnering with freight forwarding and logistics suppliers

Following up on every PO (because “lost in transit” isn’t good enough).

Auditing inbound warehouse stock processes

Providing up to date ETA's to our customer base

A bit about you…
Our ideal candidate will have;

Demonstrated experience in purchasing or procurement at a senior level

Wholesale, distribution, construction or electrical industry experience, highly regarded).

Negotiation skills sharper than a tradie’s box cutter.

Mandarin language skills would be helpful but not essential

A knack for balancing supplier relationships while keeping the bottom line healthy.
