About the Company

Our client is an Australian privately owned company with over 30 years’ experience in the building industry. They have a focus on building and maintaining long-term and long-lasting relationships with all customers. They do this by being the ‘one stop shop’ and providing the best quality repair and maintenance possible.

With continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Leading Hand / Site Foreman to join their team.

About You

Do you have 5+ years in the construction/building industry?

Proven experience in remedial building, waterproofing, façade, or structural repair works.

A trade background (carpentry, bricklaying, concreting, or similar) with strong practical ability.

Leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coordinate, and supervise small teams and subcontractors.

Strong attention to detail, site organisation, and ability to maintain quality standards.

A proactive and problem-solving approach, with the ability to communicate clearly with staff, clients, and consultants.

Understanding of compliance requirements, workplace health and safety, and the standards relevant to remedial works.

What You Will Need to Succeed

Lead and coordinate site works on remedial building projects, ensuring quality workmanship and compliance with standards and specifications.

Supervise and work alongside teams of 2–5 staff on typical projects and manage larger teams and subcontractors of up to 10 people when required.

Be “on the tools” for a large proportion of projects, stepping into a dedicated supervisory and management role on larger, longer-term projects (6–12 months).

Take responsibility for safety, quality, and site productivity.

Liaise with project managers, engineers, consultants, and strata representatives to maintain clear communication and professional site conduct.

Provide input into sequencing, temporary works, and practical site solutions for remedial challenges.

Licences, Skills & Qualifications (or willingness to obtain)

Current Australian Driver’s Licence

Construction White Card

Remedial building experience

Certificate III in Construction Waterproofing

Certificate IV in Building & Construction

HRW Licence – Basic and/or Advanced Scaffolding

Working at Heights certification

EWP Licence

Advanced First Aid
