The Role

We’re looking for a Leading Hand who will work closely with our Site Supervisor to support the smooth delivery of projects. This role combines hands-on building with day-to-day leadership, ensuring the site runs efficiently, safely, and to a high standard.

You’ll be a key link between the Supervisor, trades, and subcontractors - helping drive progress while setting the tone onsite.

What You’ll Do

Work alongside and support the Site Supervisor in coordinating daily site activities.

Lead by example with hands-on carpentry and remedial works.

Help oversee trades and subcontractors to keep quality and timelines on track.

Review and interpret drawings and specifications with accuracy.

Ensure safety and site presentation are maintained at all times.

Identify and troubleshoot issues early, working with the Supervisor to resolve them.

Communicate clearly with the Supervisor, team, clients, and suppliers.

Provide feedback on progress and flag risks or improvements.

What We’re Looking For

Qualified carpenter (or equivalent trade).

3–5 years’ experience in a Leading Hand or senior trades role.

Solid knowledge of remedial and/or residential construction.

Strong eye for detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Ability to motivate and support others while working as part of a team.

White Card and driver’s licence essential.

Full kit of power tools & vehicle

Remedial experience is an advantage.
