The business is currently evolving into a Developer/Builder model, with a pipeline of both internal and client-led projects. As the scale and complexity of delivery increases, it is investing in its teams to ensure quality, control, and consistency are maintained across all sites.

The Role

You will support the site team and Safety Manager in implementing and monitoring all health, safety, and environmental processes. You will gain hands-on experience while receiving mentoring, training, and exposure to best practice safety systems across a complex multi-residential high-rise project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing, implementing and monitoring Safety Management Plans
• Conduct and document site inductions for new workers and subcontractors
• Review and assist with Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and permits
• Support daily pre-starts, toolbox talks and safety briefings
• Conduct site inspections, task observations, and hazard identification
• Liaise with subcontractors and site teams to reinforce a proactive safety culture
• Support incident and near-miss reporting and investigation processes
• Provide input into emergency response drills and preparedness
• Help track compliance using Hammertech, Procore, and safety KPI dashboards
• Maintain accurate WHS records and documentation

The Person

• White Card (Construction Induction)
• Cert IV in Workplace Health and Safety (or currently studying)
• Basic understanding of WHS legislation and safe work practices
• Exposure to construction site environments preferred (work placement or similar)
• Computer skills and ability to learn compliance platforms (Hammertech/Procore)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• High attention to detail and strong recordkeeping
• Willingness to learn, be mentored and grow into a future Safety Advisor role
