The Role

The Group Program Coordinator is responsible for the planning, coordination, day to day delivery, and evaluation of group-based programs and activities within ADHD WA. Working closely with key staff, facilitators, contractors and volunteers.

This role ensures that programs meet objectives, client organisation and funder expectations and are aligned with the ADHD WA’s mission and funding requirements.

About Us

ADHD WA was founded in 1993, and is a support, information, advocacy, and assessment organisation for people with ADHD and associated conditions. We work with children, teenagers, and adults, as well as their families and partners.

We also provide professional development and support to those who treat, teach, and work with people living with ADHD.

The ripple effects of ADHD can be seen in families, workplaces, schools, and communities. Our mission is to provide information and practical support, aid research initiatives, and spread awareness about ADHD through resources and events.

Key Functions

Program Planning

Develop and coordinate the implementation of ADHD WA calendar of group education, therapy, peer group and fee for service programs.

Coordinate delivery arrangements including venue booking, participant materials, catering and IT presentation equipment.

Facilitate or support the facilitation of group activities as required.

Delivery Coordination & Support

Support program delivery staff, contractors, facilitators, and volunteers.

Coordinate staff and contractor rosters in collaboration with Clinical Lead and the Finance and Administration Coordinator.

Manage and maintain effective communication and coordination records for group activities.

Participant Engagement

Build positive relationships with program partners and participants to understand their needs and interests.

Ensure participant safety, inclusion, and wellbeing throughout all programs.

Monitoring & Evaluation

Maintain attendance, incident reports, and participant feedback.

Ensure programs are evaluated and feedback received from participants

Monitor program outcomes and contribute to continuous improvement and reporting.

Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure all activities adhere to ADHD WA policy procedures.

Undertake risk assessments and implement appropriate safeguards.

Maintain participant confidentiality

Uphold the ADHD WA’s Code of Conduct.

This is a busy and dynamic role with a wide scope of activity and deliverables.

Essential Criteria

Experience in coordinating community-based programs or group activities.

Strong organisational and time-management skills.

Ability to build rapport with diverse individuals and communities.

Knowledge of inclusive and person-centred practice.

High level of written and verbal communication skills.

Competence in Microsoft Office and/or program management tools.

Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.

Ability to prioritise and manage your time effectively

Work calmly under pressure when faced with competing priorities

Have a positive, mature approach and be flexible with administration tasks

Desirable Criteria

Qualifications in community services, social work, education, or related fields.

Experience working within a not-for-profit or community services setting.

Understanding and experience in supporting people with ADHD

First Aid and CPR certification.

Other Requirements

Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC)

National Police Check

Current Australian Driver’s Licence

The successful candidate will need to provide a current National Police Check and Working with Children Check before being appointed.
