The Company
Our client is one of Australia's leading superannuation funds, situated in a gorgeous open plan office in the CBD with a hybrid model offered. They are developing an in-department Training function for their Insurance branch, to ensure continuous development opportunities for employees and service excellence is provided to members.
The Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Insurance Delivery & Performance, this is a newly created role looking for a strategic, innovative and hands on L&D professional, who can utilise their existing technical knowledge within Superannuation, Insurance, Claims and/or Underwriting to enhance department performance. You will have one direct report - an experienced Training Specialist, to support with the delivery.
This role is Monday-Friday, 60% in office, 40% from home per week.
Duties
- Identify group and individual training needs and opportunities on an ongoing basis, through various gap analysis and feedback methods
- Design, develop and deliver best practice, role-based training plans
- Develop and deliver or coordinate the delivery of group training in line with strategic objectives to create consistent, effective and efficient insurance related interactions
- Implement effective learning methodologies, such as e-learning, classroom training, workshops, and coaching, to meet the diverse learning styles of team members
- Lead a Training Specialist who deliver training and coaching to ensure consistency with the structured training plan and its objectives.
- Analyse the effectiveness of training programs and review delivered training programs, themes, observations and areas for improvement
Your Profile
To be a successful candidate you must have:
- Previous experience in a senior Training/Learning & Development role, with a focus on strategy, assessment and through to delivery, ideally within Superannuation - essential
- Previous experience & strong knowledge base within either Superannuation, Insurance, Claims and/or Underwriting - highly desirable
- Proven management or leadership expertise with at least one direct report
