As a Finance Officer, you will play a key role in keeping our financial processes running smoothly, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in everything we do.
About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Conference Finance Officer to oversee the full financial process for multiple conference accounts on behalf of the parent company. This is a hands-on role with ownership of the start to finish accounting cycle, including bank reconciliations, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR) and financial reporting. You will interact with various internal teams to ensure smooth financial operations and accurate reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
End-to-end management of conference financials, including AP, AR, and bank reconciliations (including overseas accounts)
Month-end conference accounts reconciliation
Prepare and process BAS for all conference accounts
Provide accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis to stakeholders
Maintain compliance with company policies, internal controls, and accounting standards
Ensure proper documentation for audit purposes and collaborate with auditors as needed
Engage with non-finance teams to communicate financial information and provide guidance
Identify and implement process improvements for conference financial operations
Represent the finance department in meetings and presentations
Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a financial officer
Experience with Xero accounting software is highly regarded
Exceptional high attention to detail, Strong administration, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing circumstances
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database systems
Ability to maintain a positive, professional approach and adhere to company standards
Strong organisational and communication skills, with a collaborative team mindset
