We are a well-regarded suburban law practice seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to join our team on a part-time basis (15–20 hours per week).

The role reports directly to the Finance Manager and will play a key part in supporting the financial operations of the firm.

Key Responsibilities

Processing and posting office and trust receipts, supplier payments, and trust disbursements

Reconciling credit card and petty cash transactions

Assisting legal staff with account-related queries

Supporting debt collection efforts and ensuring reports are run and distributed in a timely manner

Providing payroll cover as required (training provided)

Gaining working knowledge of Practice Evolve and promoting best practices

Offering general financial support to the Finance Manager, and ad hoc assistance to partners and legal staff

Qualifications & Skills

Prior experience in an account’s role, preferably within a legal practice

Knowledge of trust accounting and/or Practice Evolve software is highly desirable

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

High attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy

Strong organisational, time management, and communication skills

Work Hours & Flexibility

Part-time: 15–20 hours per week

Ideal availability: 3–4 hours each morning, or Monday, Tuesday & Friday

School hours welcome
