Centacare is a non-profit community organisation that supports the strengthening of family and community relationships, particularly where there is vulnerability and disadvantage. Our services are available to the entire community regardless of religion, circumstance, ethnicity, economic situation, age, gender or ability. We strive to deliver professional and accountable services whilst empowering our clients to find solutions and achieve their goals.

The role:

As a Client Safety and Continuous Improvement Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting client safety, service quality, and continuous improvement initiatives across Centacare. Reporting to the Head of Client Safety and Continuous Improvement, and working alongside a collaborative team, you’ll embed and operationalise Centacare’s Quality, Risk and Governance Framework to create safer, more responsive services.

Your expertise in project management, change leadership, and continuous improvement will support service delivery teams in implementing sustainable changes, achieving compliance, and elevating client outcomes — especially in light of sector reforms including changes to the Aged Care Act.

Key Duties:

  • Support and guide teams to meet legislative and regulatory reporting obligations for client incidents and safety
  • Lead and coordinate Service Entry, Complex Case, and Root Cause Analysis Reviews
  • Respond to and learn from Level 3 complaints, with empathy and fairness
  • Develop and report on key Quality, Risk and Governance KPIs, identifying themes and trends
  • Prioritise and implement Continuous Improvement projects that align with operational and strategic goals
  • Apply your knowledge of the Human Services Quality Frameworks and upcoming changes to the Aged Care Act and Standards to inform best practice
  • Create and deliver tools, systems, and training to empower teams in delivering quality services

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven project management experience, preferably in human services or healthcare
  • Experience leading or supporting change management initiatives across teams or organisations
  • Strong background in continuous improvement, quality, and governance frameworks
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify systemic themes
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Aged Care Act and associated reforms (highly regarded)
  • Ability to engage and influence stakeholders with empathy, clarity, and confidence
  • A collaborative approach and a willingness to contribute to a supportive, high-performing team

Essential requirements for the role:

  • Have a current Blue Card – or be eligible to apply;
  • Have a current driver’s licence;
  • Provide a current Australian Federal Police Criminal History Check or successfully pass one;
  • Have working rights in Australia

Why Work for us?

At Centacare, you'll join a tight-knit, collaborative team where professionalism meets genuine camaraderie. Our Quality, Risk and Governance Unit is a group of passionate individuals with experience ranging from 6 months to 17 years, bringing together a wealth of diverse knowledge, fresh perspectives, and deep expertise.

We are more than colleagues — we are a team that supports each other, learns from one another, celebrates wins, and even shares a few laughs along the way. If you value a workplace where team culture matters as much as technical skill, this is the place for you.
