Finance Systems Specialist

About the Role

• Prepare and execute test plans, test cases, and completion reports across finance system projects
  
  
• Validate data flows and ensure accuracy of postings into the General Ledger (GL)
  
  
• Design and develop test scenarios with Finance, IT, and Project teams to meet business requirements
  
  
• Investigate discrepancies and provide reconciliations between source systems and GL
  
  
• Review and test financial and management reports to ensure accuracy of outputs
  
  
• Document results, escalate defects, and ensure all testing artifacts are tracked and maintained
  
  
• Support process improvement initiatives, identifying risks and opportunities in reporting and data flows
  
  
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to bridge finance and IT, ensuring smooth delivery of system changes
  
  

Skills & Experience

• Degree qualified in Finance, Accounting, IT, or related discipline
  
  
• Demonstrated experience in project testing / UAT
  
  
• Strong knowledge of General Ledger processes and reconciliations
  
  
• Hands-on experience with SAP (FI/CO) or other financial systems
  
  
• Advanced Excel skills; exposure to SQL or reporting tools an advantage
  
  
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, able to liaise across Finance, IT, and project teams
  
  
• Detail-oriented, with a proactive and structured approach to testing and process improvement
