We are seeking a Temporary Rostering Officer to join our team on a fixed-term contract from 20 October 2025 – 23 January 2026. The role involves providing scheduling services and managing staff rosters to ensure continuity of high-quality client care, while maintaining cost efficiency. This position is Monday to Friday, 10am–2pm (flexible hours available).
About the Role
The Rostering Officer will support the scheduling team by coordinating staff rosters, managing shift changes, and ensuring service delivery needs are met. You will work alongside a supportive team in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and strong communication skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Schedule employees effectively, including arranging cover for unplanned absences, while minimising client disruption and maintaining cost efficiency.
Liaise with support staff and management regarding service provision.
Process annual leave requests in consultation with Team Leaders.
Coordinate rosters for new employees in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Respond to and manage employee roster-related queries.
Maintain accurate records in rostering systems.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
No prior rostering experience required — full training will be provided.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Professional phone manner.
Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
Ability to obtain a NDIS Clearance.
Ability to obtain a current National Police Clearance (issued within the last 6 months).
Desirable Criteria
Experience in rostering or scheduling.
Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Working knowledge of Carelink.
Understanding of the SCHADS Award.
