A Federal Government Agency is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Architect to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure and resilient network communication systems.

As the Infrastructure Architect, you will oversee a team of network professionals and be responsible for ensuring that network technologies align with government security standards, including the PSPF and ASD guidelines.

🧠 Role Responsibilities

• Lead a network team of ~4 staff
• Maintain and support networking services across data centres and external gateways
• Conduct security penetration tests and risk assessments
• Design and support video conferencing and branch office services
• Architect secure cloud networking for SaaS/IaaS
• Transition external gateway from legacy to new provider
• Deliver data centre networking solutions

✅ Essential Skills

• Stakeholder engagement and technical planning
• Conflict resolution and team leadership
• Strong communication across all levels
• Deep understanding of ISM and Essential Eight
• Expert-level Cisco networking (switching, routing, VoIP)

⭐ Desirable Experience

• 5+ years as Network Communications & Security Manager
• Bachelor's in Computer Science or related
• Cisco ACI and Data Centre Architecture
• PSPF and Protected frameworks
• Secure Internet Gateway (SIG) implementation
• 7+ years as Networking Engineer (CISSP preferred)
• CCNP Data Centre & Routing/Switching
• Wireless, Cisco ISE, UCM, CUC, TMS, IM&P
• Cryptography, virtualisation, WAN optimisation, load balancing
• Federal Government procurement experience
