About the role
Working within the Food Service Industry, the primary responsibilities include:
Making sure that all quality control documentation is produced up-to-date and maintained on file as per requirement.
Monitoring quality requirements. Daily checks in factory, temperature, Brix, pH and other product controls, labelling checks, product release.
Conducting Pre and post operational checks, as well as GMP check list.
Control and maintenance of approved supplier and preventive maintenance programs.
Performing Retention sampling regime checks.
Conducting in-house calibrations.
Organising laboratory sampling testing ( microbiological, allergen, chemical, environmental) as per schedule and generating data results report, carrying out proper corrective actions (CA), when necessary.
Provide training to employees regarding our food safety plan procedures, QMS, SOP, SSOP, records, CA, work instructions, inductions to new employees, etc.
Assisting Management in projects and miscellaneous duties as directed.
Skills and experience
The candidate will have a University Degree (Such as Food scientist, Food technologist, Food Engineering, or related)
A minimum of 3 to 5 years working experience in a quality role in the Food industry or Food services field.
Successfully completed a minimum two-day duration and assessed HACCP-based certification training course
Knowledge of SQF (Safe Quality Food) standards, Quality Control and HACCP certifications would be required for the role
The ideal candidate must have:
Ability to work under pressure and time constraints while still performing their tasks efficiently.
Ability to work independently as well as cooperate with other departments.
Strong organisational skills, related to scheduling, organising the workload, and prioritising activities.
Possess excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to come up with feasible corrective actions
Strong attention to detail.
Good interpersonal skills to build and maintain good relationships with suppliers, colleagues, different production staff members, and customers in a work environment.
Good level computer knowledge.
Excellent oral and written communication skill
